Expired Renewals & Dispatch Blocking (11/21/2011 12:00:00 PM)
Renewal Management helps Subscribers keep track of certificates, documents, and subscriptions that expire and need routine renewal. Renewals can be tracked and managed for company locations, flight staff, mechanics, and general staff. Examples of typical items that are managed through renewal tracking include 141 certificates, CFI certificates, publication subscriptions, and domain name expiration.
Recently MyFBO added the option to check for expired renewal items at the time of dispatch. If the staff member being dispatched has an expired renewal item that is marked not to allow dispatch, dispatch will be blocked. If the staff member has an expired renewal item that is marked as dispatch allowed, a warning will be issued at the time of dispatch.
As with other dispatch blocks, a Manager or higher level user can override the block, and a record of all Dispatch Overrides is available from the Review Tab / Dispatch Status page.

New! Shop Service Schedule (10/20/2011 12:00:00 PM)
MyFBO is pleased to announce the release of a new Service Reservations feature as part of our already extensive Service Orders option. Maintenance shops can now schedule service work for shop customers in MyFBO, allowing for more efficient use of mechanic resources and avoidance of space conflicts on the shop floor. A designated shop bay can be reserved, or a mechanic, or both.
Service Reservations are easily created from a customer's service estimate, and, like other types of reservations in MyFBO, are confirmed with the customer by email and easily rescheduled as necessary.

New! Customer Feedback - Online Surveys (9/27/2011 2:00:00 PM)
MyFBO understands the importance of managing customer relationships and provides numerous tools to Subscribers for communicating with customers, including the popular Broadcast E-mail function, News & Messages options, and in-system Personal Messaging.
MyFBO also offers opportunities for customer feedback. The Customer Online Inquiry option allows Subscribers' customers to easily enter an online inquiry and have it seen and promptly responded to by Subscribers' designated staff, with a full history of all customer inquiries and responses retained.
MyFBO is pleased to announce the release of a new customer feedback tool - Customer Online Surveys. With this new option, Subscribers can create ongoing Customer Satisfaction Surveys to be presented automatically to customers based on the type of service that was provided (rental, instructional, ground/fuel, maintenance, etc.). Also, Broadcast Only Surveys can be created for one-time immediate presentation to all customers via the Broadcast E-mail function. In either case, full reporting of survey results is maintained and managers can respond to an individual customer's feedback as needed.

Assuring Curricular Progress (8/30/2011 3:00:00 PM)
MyFBO recently released a number of options to help Subscribers using MyFBO's Advanced Curriculum Tracking assure that students progress efficiently along their curricular path.
Standard Student Plans allow a number of pre-defined curricula to be grouped together as a planned course of study so each student in a class can easily be enrolled and tracked in the same plan.
New Qualification and Limitation checks confirm that the previous lesson has been completed before the student's next flight is dispatched, and that any prerequisite lesson has been completed. There is also a check to block (or warn) on dispatch of flights for instructors who are not up to date on completing training records.
Expected versus Actual Curricular Progress reporting tracks student progress against a number of days completion benchmark set for each curriculum, so student progress issues can be addressed promptly.

New Fuel Surcharge Option! (7/21/2011 11:00:00 AM)
Traditionally Subscribers who assess a fuel surcharge on flights charge a flat rate per hour. An option to automatically apply this type of fuel surcharge has long been available in MyFBO.
MyFBO recently released an alternative option that allows subscribers to automatically assess a more accurate fuel surcharge based on the current price of fuel and fuel burn for the individual aircraft. When the price of fuel changes, instead of adjusting the surcharge for each individual aircraft, subscribers simply update to the current fuel price in one spot. On customer receipts, the surcharge appears in a manner that makes it clear to the customer that they are being charged based on gallons of fuel used at the current fuel price.
