The magnetic stripe reader software to be installed on your PDA allows it to operate as a keyboard wedge – when a credit card is swiped, the reader "types in" the characters found on the magnetic stripe.  Simply move the credit card through the reading slot – magnetic stripe facing toward you.  Your PDA will beep when a credit card has been read.
